I started making dinner tonight (whole wheat spaghetti with fresh broccoli and goat cheese) and realized that a little salad would be great. I got out the lettuce and spied Zo hanging out on the couch.
"Hey! Would you like to make our salad for dinner tonight?"
Her eyes lit up. "Yes!"
So she did.
She was quite pleased with how it turned out, although she was disappointed that I wouldn't let her add broccoli to her salad since we were having it in our pasta dish. At dinner, she declared that this was the best salad we've ever had.
You know what? I think she's right.
