I did eight miles this morning, instead of four. A friend has been walking with me on Saturday mornings, and she lives on my normal four-mile route. I decided instead of driving over to her place I'd just hoof it. We did a different four miles, then I walked home.
I don't normally have two hours to walk. Then again, I don't plan to make it a habit to rise at 4:30, which is what it took to be at her place at 5.
Needless to say, I'm pooped.
It was worth it, though. Lost over 3 lbs this week, making up for the slight Independence Day holiday gain.
Cleaned the cottage today, and am doing laundry now in preparation for our two-week jaunt. Mail is scheduled to be held, and bills are paid. I think we're nearly ready to go save for the packing.
Tomorrow Zozo and the kitties head to my dad's; Zo stays a week and the cats two. So my primary goal is to get her packed tonight/tomorrow morning. Which may be a bit difficult given how tired I am. And my arm is still sore from the damn tetanus shot my doc injected at my physical yesterday.
I'm really looking forward sitting my butt in the car Tuesday and watching the world roll by. The route to Kansas City will be all too familiar, but then it'll be new scenery. Can't wait!
